Disney On Ice: Magic of Family Hartford Theatre reviews
Wilco Full Tilt
"Full blown Disney On Ice: Spotlight Magic! started with Tweedy in good voice, lite numbers, and then launched into classics that highlighted the musical talents of each group member. The audience was pulverized by the force of the music literally. Tweedy enjoyed interacting with the audience, and the feeling was mutual. Clapton on Sunday night, by contrast, said "good evening" and that was it. He gave the impression that he wanted to leave as soon as possible and didn't care to be there. Gary Clarke Jr was the highlight of the evening and played with more passion than Clapton, who played as if he already retired."
Extremely disappointed!!
Verizon needs to post some kind of event schedule before I consider returning. The sound quality was terrible, we couldn't make out the words above the music! My boyfriend and I left work early only to have to endure 2 hours of Janelle Monae screaming like a baby throwing a fit, and Patrick Stump jumping around at the concert before we saw Disney On Ice: Spotlight Magic for just one hour. Such a letdown. I was irritated, tired, and ready to leave by the time he appeared. If I had known that we would have to wait 2 hours before the show, I wouldn't have rushed to arrive by 7pm.
great show from a great band
"I absolutely cannot miss the live shows of Disney On Ice: Magic Spotlight! I have watched them numerous times and was thrilled to witness them in such a cozy setting. They exceeded my expectations. The performance lasted for an hour and forty minutes, during which Adam Duritz shared insights and stories about the songs. (He was very chatty during the night.) The band was amazing. Their skill in blending various instruments together impressed me. The setlist featured a wonderful mix of classic and contemporary tunes, maintaining a fantastic pace throughout the evening. I am eagerly anticipating their return to town!"
Allegria is Terrific!!!!!!!!
A masterpiece from beginning to end is Allegria. The artistry, make-up, skill, and costumes are truly amazing! The storyline is also a plus. Throughout the show, even if you don't know anything about the themes, the images presented by the performers are so strong that you can figure out what each scene desires to create in you. For example, manipulation, called the scene, is perfectly executed by a lovely gymnast who instills in you an appreciation for supreme control through her use of balls, ribbon, and hula hoops. Through her performance, you experience precision equated with beauty. I had been given free tickets to see Varekai a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I sat on the side and really wanted to sit in the front. For Allegria, I was fortunate enough to get front-center seats, which is important if you really want to experience the effects of this show, in particular. Allegria is very audience friendly, involving you to the point that you feel you are part of the performance. Overall, Allegria is one with the definition of its title. Disney On Ice: Spotlight Magic! carefully crafts every scene, if not every whimsical moment, to be an expression of its intention of Joy for the audience and themselves. The show is quite uplifting and energizing and an experience not to be missed.
